Thank you so much for coming by the blog. I really hope you and your GF get to revive her language. It seems like such a small thing but it&#039;s priceless.

You know, that reminds me of the Ainu in Japan. They&#039;ve been stamped out so much that their language is dying, and the last Ainu grandmother has died, and now the Ainu children can&#039;t learn their own native tongue

Your GF&#039;s story reminded me of them.

I also think that it&#039;s sad that parents don&#039;t let their kids learn the native languages, in fear that they won&#039;t learn the language of the society.

That is NOT true because there are kids who grew up only speaking one language until the age of 5, and learned the second one after.

And they sound perfectly native in both.</description>
